This Week in ACOP | September 16, 2026

We are inviting our ACOP Churches into new partnership agreements. Our President, Wes Mills, has recorded a 3-minute video explaining why this change is necessary. Please take the time to watch.

If you or your church board have questions or need more information, please reach out to your Regional Director, who is happy to help you in this process.

Please be aware that we have given notice of our intention to dissolve all existing partnership agreements on September 30, 2026. We value your partnership in the Gospel and appreciate your attention to this matter.

May we, together, continue to Extend Grace & Ignite Hope in our world.

EPIC 2.0 Module Three

Whether EPIC is new to you or you were part of EPIC in an earlier season, this is an opportunity to step into several days of intentional leadership development alongside other pastors and leaders from across the ACOP family.

Communication doesn’t only happen from a platform.

Some of the most important communication we do as leaders happens in moments of tension, disagreement, and conflict.

That is why we are also excited to welcome Dale Anderson. Dale is a pastor and educator with a Master’s degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution. His years of ministry across cultures, including ministry in Poland and within a global prayer ministry in the United States, have shaped a deep love for Jesus, the Church, and developing the next generation.

Dale will help us explore how we can approach conflict with greater understanding and develop practical skills for navigating difficult conversations well.

Empower Evenings at Eston College is an accessible (in-person or online), holistic, and transformative discipleship stream—available to all.

These courses are not for credit (audit-style), so we're able to offer them for $239/course (plus applicable fees). We focus on heartwork, not homework!

During the 8-month schedule, students can expect to grow in their relationship with the Lord, their identity in Christ, the gifts of the Spirit, and discerning their God-given calling.  We see many testimonies of God's power and healing released to and through students during our weekly gatherings. Join us!

EMPOWER EVENINGS

The House of Commons will sit again on September 21 after a summer recess. Join the EFC in praying for our local MPs this week. One of the items that may be on the House of Commons agenda this fall includes:

  • Bill C-218, a bill that would stop the expansion of MAiD on the basis of mental illness. The law allowing MAiD for mental illness will take effect in March 2027, unless a bill is passed to stop it. The bill is expected to be up for debate on September 23 and a vote on October 7. Please ask your MP to support Bill C-218.

We'd love for you to jump into a cohort with us—to feel part of the bigger picture, to rub shoulders with people who have the same interests as you, and, as Scripture says, "...make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind."

"LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me."—Psalms 16:5-7

The Tribe of Levi received no land in Israel; they were chosen by God to lead the Israelites in worship and service to the Lord. God Himself was their inheritance. So, within that context, we begin to see the scripture unfold...

My portion and my cup represent what fills my life: "you alone."

You make my lot secure represents my future; I don't need anything but you.

Boundary lines and delightful inheritance: God's work and purposes in our lives (even in difficult circumstances) are good. And good for us.

Divine counsel and night instruction: even in the quiet, vulnerable hours of the night, we are held and instructed, our hearts turning toward the Lord.

There is a word, when reflecting upon these verses, that comes to mind...

Contentment.

As we step into the cozy autumn season🍂—with warm sweaters, crackling fires, warm mugs, and open Bibles—let true contentment fill your heart through the Holy Spirit; LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup.
