President-Elect Chris Westby and I are in regular communication about the ACOP leadership transition.

Last week, we announced that Sean Stevenson-Douglas would begin serving as Vice President of Ministry Multiplication in September. This is a new position that will combine the former church-planting catalyst role with catalytic involvement in ACOP Global Harvest Missions and a teaching role at Eston College.

Chris and Sherri Westby have an offer on their home in Surrey, which is scheduled to close on August 18th. Please pray that this sale goes through in a timely way. The Westby’s are planning to be in Calgary for the beginning of the school year in September—let's hold the whole Westby family in prayer during this time of transition.

The formal presidential transition process will begin October 1, 2026. I will work with Chris to orient him to this new role over the next 3 to 6 months. Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support through this season.

Our Street Invaders are on their missions this week!

"On outreach, one of our students felt led to pray for a man on the street who was experiencing homelessness. She was able to talk with him and share the gospel—praying for his protection and peace. 

Later in the day, while serving food outside the drop-in centre, the same man was present. He came and thanked the student for approaching him and let her know that it meant a lot to him. She was then able to give him a meal and something to drink. She walked away that day, deeply impacted by the interaction."

As older believers, following the voice of the Holy Spirit is natural. We can forget that our students, our next generation, are learning to follow His leading. What our students experience on Mission, is a genuine gift, a way of living life challenged and changed by the Gospel we love.

Thank you for praying for our students, leaders, and this important ministry within ACOP. Help us grow—we are overflowing and have a genuine need to expand. With your help, our kids will make their faith real!

We have two families who are beginning their service in an unreached city in Asia—read about one families adventures in: A week in the life of new Global Workers.

As well, another young couple has completed a year of training in Mombasa, Kenya, and have now moved on to their unreached field of service.

Pray for our Global Workers, they need our covering, and support, they are extensions of the Gospel Work we do here, and we are so thankful for all who have been sent. God is at work in our midst!

September marks the 30^th Anniversary of this important fellowship of believers who meet every Sunday at the Banff Full Gospel Church!

To commemorate this milestone, they plan to hold a dedication ceremony with special guests from Japan and a Gospel Concert. 

The church would like to express gratitude for the tremendous encouragement and prayer from other ACOP Churches and Pastors, which have sustained and guided their ministry in the town of Banff, AB. Congratulations GJCC!

Jesus, what can we offer but our time and longing for relationship?

When we keep our focus on Jesus in prayer, we experience the real power, which is understanding that we cannot help ourselves. (Luke 18:9-14) It's true in each of our personal lives, but it's also true of our ministry lives.

Fall is a very busy time, and we're here for it! We see you as you lead, as you follow His call, as you shine the light of Jesus in your community. But don't let your busy keep you from Jesus. Would you consider joining us in prayer September 7 - 11th? We'll join the Global Church, lifting the name of Jesus, during the 24-7 Global Week of Prayer. 🙏
