This Week in ACOP | February 11, 2026

Chris is enjoying life with Jesus, family, friends & church, doing fulfilling work, eating good food, laughing a lot, and playing soccer when he can. He is the father of two active young adults, Sparrow and Eden, and husband to Dr. Adrienne Stevens.

He has degrees in Commerce, Psychology, and Theology. In 2007 he received the “Top 35 Christian Leaders Under 35″ in Canada award. In 2021, He received an award from the mayor of Waterloo for making the city a better place to work, live, and play for everyone.

He's spent the last 27 years starting, growing, and merging organizations to maximize their potential, whether it was experience in the TD bank, the federal government, as a church planter, or pastor in three cities in Ontario. He loves helping people find their sweet spot of contribution to allow them to thrive in what God has called them to.

Chris is currently the Lead Church Planter at Neighbours Church, leader of the South End Pastors Network, representative of the C2C Church Planting Network in Ottawa, on the national church planting team for ACOP, certified coach to church planters, and a member of the Oneway Ministries National Capital Region Church Planting team. He's got a lot of energy and wisdom to share with us—we can't wait! 👏

Gospel Gold

One woman found us via YouTube, and after watching for a few weeks online she began attending in person.

She's found community, and most importantly, hope in Jesus! She gave her life to Christ and was baptized, and her son was there for this bold decision.

The Lord loves to change the generational landscape in families! "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." (Acts 16:31)

Devotional

Love permeates everything we do. The Bible makes mention of four different Greek words for it: eros (romantic), philia (brotherly), storge (familial), and agape (unconditional). These types of love, while different from each other, are equally important in the way we live our lives.

Through our relationship with Christ, we have an innate understanding of what it is to love and be loved. His love is never-ending and unconditional, and when we abide in that love it changes our perspective.

This weekend, as Valentine's Day and Family Day come around, we encourage you to spend intentional time with those you love. We were created for connection and community!

"We know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. We love because he first loved us." -1 John 4:16, 19 NIV
