In 2026, we are introducing the ACOP Distinguished Service Award.

The scripture says that we should give honour where honour is due. The purpose of the distinguished service award is to honour ACOP Members and Employees who have provided distinguished service to the Apostolic Church of Pentecost of Canada.

The award will be based on the following criteria:

  • Longevity—service to the Fellowship over an extended period of time
  • Dedication—to advancing the mission and vision of ACOP
  • Impact—the positive influence the individual has had in their scope of service
  • Achievement—initiatives contributing to the growth, development, and expansion of the ministry of ACOP
  • Disposition—exemplifying what it means to be an Extender of Grace and Igniter of Hope

Those eligible for the distinguished service award are ACOP members who are no longer active in a vocational ministry role or employees who are no longer employed by ACOP. Posthumous awards will be considered.

ACOP members will be invited to nominate recipients, and the ACOP President, in consultation with the National Apostolic Team, will select the recipients.

Two Distinguished Service Awards will be presented at each biennial conference.

In this inaugural year, additional awards will be presented because of the volume of eligible candidates.

Those receiving the distinguished service award will receive a citation along with the distinguished service award pin. Recipients of the Distinguished Service Award will be exempt from future credential fees.

The roster of Distinguished Service Award recipients will be publicly acknowledged at future Conferences.

The Grace & Hope Award was inaugurated at our 2010 Biennial Conference. This award is presented at each biennial conference to an ACOP Partner church that Passionately Extends God’s Grace & Ignites Hope in its Community.

The Grace & Hope Award will be presented to the church that demonstrates creativity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence through a tangible expression of Jesus' love for its community.

The church that receives the Grace & Hope Award will receive complimentary conference registration for the pastor and their spouse, along with $1,000 toward the cost of their travel to the conference. The church will also receive a commemorative gift suitable for display, acknowledging the church's achievement.

Nominations for the 2026 Grace & Hope Award should be submitted to the ACOP office by April 1, 2026. The nominations should take the form of a one or two-page essay that answers the following questions:

1. What creative means (ministries or programs) are being used?

2. How is grace being extended and hope being ignited?

3. To whom specifically is compassion being shown?

4. What are the results and how are they being measured?

5. What impact is the church having in the community?

The nomination should also include the nominator's name and contact information.

You may nominate your own church or another church that is extending grace and igniting hope in its community.
