Dr. Roger Helland is the prayer ambassador for the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada and a lead team member for Ignite Prayer Canada. Previously he served as the district minister of the Baptist General Conference in Alberta.

He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM) and ACTS/Trinity Western University (DMin). With over 35 years of experience as a pastor, denominational leader, and adjunct professor at several theological schools, his mission is to equip and empower missional, disciple-making leaders and churches.

His passion is for spiritual leadership and church renewal with a deep devotion to prayer and to the ministry of the word (Acts 6:4). He has written seven books including The Devout Life, Magnificent Surrender, Missional Spirituality and Pursuing God's Presence. He resides with his wife Gail near Calgary.

Gospel Gold

Our church has experienced quite a bit of loss, but we've pulled together, drawn close—reaching out and praying for one another. And what did God do in our midst? The church became a place of healing, a lighthouse in the middle of the storm.

"LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me."—Psalms 30:2

As we gear up for the coming year, we look ahead not only to the events on our calendar, but the posture of our hearts. The things God has in store for each of us this year are nothing short of miraculous, and being ready to receive them makes all the difference. 

In a few short months, we'll gather as a fellowship and get stirred up afresh for the things of God, understanding His heart for the lost and broken in new ways. Whether you plan on joining us or not, we encourage you to seek Him alongside us as the months unfold. This year is going to bring so many good things we aren't expecting yet, and we want to be ready and expectant when they arrive.

"Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you." -Hosea 10:12 ESV
