This coming Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. Yes, we're already here, but we're celebrating all God has done in and through us. This week, Peter is sharing about all that's happened in our ACOP Central Region. Blessings!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new program, designed and developed by ACOP’s Leadership Development team! This is a free resource for individuals aged 13-22 (ish) designed to build their leadership abilities and launch them into ministry opportunities

RAMP (Rooted – Activated – Mentored – Prepared) is a three-step program that combines learning with practical application. Participants will work through six videos on discipleship and activating their leadership abilities, followed by an opportunity to discuss what they’ve learned with a cohort. From there, they will get the chance to put what they’ve learned into practice and serve in their community.

Food shortages are intensifying in many households across Malawi. Meeting basic daily food needs has become a concern for our ACOP Family in Malawi—President Stephen Banda has sent a prayer request.

Let’s pray, but let’s also act.

We are calling on our Canadian ACOP Family, Members, and churches to join together in responding with compassion.

Every contribution—large or small—will supply emergency food aid to vulnerable families in ACOP Malawi.

Last week, we were blessed to have our ACOP Trustees in the office for their annual meeting. We are so grateful for the work they do, and it was a joy to spend time together!

This Christmas, The Chosen invites your church to join them for a special experience. Christmas with The Chosen: Holy Night is a beautiful and moving film about the birth of Jesus from the director of The Chosen, Dallas Jenkins.

It’s completely FREE to screen in your church. Whether you show it as part of your Christmas Eve service, during a Sunday gathering, or in small groups throughout the season, this is a powerful way to draw hearts back to the wonder of the first Christmas.

My biggest joy (in ministry) is seeing new people come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and become part of His church. Even when they don’t come to faith right away, I make efforts to keep visiting them. Together, we build real relationships by sharing food and life together. Over time, I've realized that I’m the one who's being blessed through these relationships. Each meeting helps me grow—both in my walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, and in love for the people I meet.

As of today, we are less than a month away from Christmas (28 days, if anyone's keeping count!), and even though it's been cold and dreary outside, the spark and warmth of the holiday season is making its way in. A hot drink and a cozy blanket are lovely on any winter day, but they feel extra special when paired with the glow of a Christmas tree.

There is a renewed reverence to be found in this season. The Scripture verses, the carols, the time spent with loved ones; everything points to the miracle of Christ's birth. As the last days of November tick by and we move into Advent, we encourage you to fix your eyes on the Saviour. 

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." -1 Peter 1:8-9 NIV
