Leading a church comes with highs and lows, as with any part of life. Sometimes, pastoring feels like walking on air; your congregation is eager and responsive, your staff works together seamlessly, and sermon ideas come to you fully formed. Other times, it's a little more of a challenge, and it can be harder to press forward.
In this passage, Paul encourages Timothy to preach in both the good times and the bad. In that same way, we want to encourage you, our pastors, to push on even when the going gets tough. You've been positioned where you are on purpose, and although life flings hardships at you, God will always guide you to solid ground. He's placed you here, and He won't abandon you.
We see you, we appreciate you, and we love you!
"I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." -2 Timothy 4:1-2 ESV
