Our calling on this earth is laid out very simply: love God, love others, and make disciples of all nations. More than that, we are called to be steadfast in our faith. On paper, this seems easily attainable, but putting it into practice is a lot harder. Circumstances, hurt, failures, they can all work against us and keep us from standing strong.
Even in the moments where we are at our most hopeless, Jesus is there, stretching out His hand and inviting us to lean on Him until we can stand solidly on our own two feet. He cares about us more than we could ever imagine, and He won't let us flounder.
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." -1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV |
