Even when it's hard or inconvenient, showing love to those around us is one of the most profound ways to understand the heart of the Father. We all have moments where love is not our first response, especially when we are tired or frustrated, and we let our emotions get the better of us. We're only human, after all, and none of us is perfect.
When we show love to each other - in all its various forms - we start to grasp the reality of God's love towards us. No matter what, regardless of our circumstances or actions, He holds us in His hands and showers us with His grace and mercy, giving us a safe place to land.
We all have our hardships, but consciously choosing to love will help us grow, both in our relationships and our outlook on life.
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” -Galatians 5:13-14 ESV |
