Hi ,

1 Corinthians 3:6-8 sums up these past 30 years:

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it to grow.  So, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.  The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.  For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

It’s only by God’s hand that anything has been accomplished.  Praise the Lord for all HE has done!

In November, 30 years ago, we began serving God alongside ACOP Malawi, followed by years with ACOP Zambia and finally BAOG Tanzania.

What a blessing to return in November to minister, teach, encourage and strategize with long-time colleagues and meet new, on-fire young leaders.

We ministered alongside ACOP President Rev. Stephen Banda and General Secretary Rev. Ephraim Mvula, for a time of teaching, training, preaching, collaborating, and encouragement of pastors and leaders across the Malawi Southern Region ACOP.

Even though there was a fuel shortage, pastors came by bikes, buses, and trucks to gather for leaders' conferences.

We met with leaders at Heart of Africa Christian Training College in Kitwe, Zambia and viewed the newest campus renovations. 80 students from across Zambia gather for teaching and training, in-residence, for mini-semesters, 4 times per year. ACOP camps, training courses and conferences are held here throughout the year, when students are not in residence. 

In Serenje, Zambia, we taught at a Christian Training College extension Bible School. This tribe does not have the complete Bible translated into their own language! They read and study in a language that is not their own. The hunger for God's Word and the Holy Spirt was profoundly evident.

Our time in Africa was complete with a visit to our Global Workers working on an unreached island. Though there is resistance to the gospel, this team is faithfully sharing the good news. 

I (Brenda) never expected to fracture my foot the last days in Africa!  The Lord was gracious to help us complete our work, travel home safely and meet wonderful people who provided crutches, wheelchairs and assistance the whole way home! PTL!
