Keeping one's word is sometimes easier said than done. Obstacles can come up out of nowhere, or we can simply change our minds. When we present ourselves as Christ's children, walking in His likeness, it is important to be mindful of how we act both inwardly and outwardly. You may be the only Christian someone encounters.
If we say we are Christians, we must also strive to live as Christ lived—with love and obedience to the Father. Be encouraged—the love of God shines through us to everyone we encounter!
"But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked."—1 John 2:5-6 ESV |
