Fall is often seen as a time for new beginnings. Activities are starting up again, the leaves turn orange almost overnight, and the newly cold weather feels like a clear divide between seasons as we leave summer behind.
A new beginning looks different for every person. And for some, it can be challenging to step into something unknown. But, with perseverance and faith, it often turns into something beautiful. Obedience can sometimes feel like a new beginning, making a conscious choice to start afresh. Jesus sees our obedience and blesses it - despite any initial difficulty, it is always so worth it.
As the season fully shifts, our hope is that whatever needs to shift in our hearts will be done.
"But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."—James 1:25 ESV |
